Information about yourself - Let us get to know you!

Hi :) My name is Sámal. 23 years old and I'm from the Faroe Islands, but currently living in Denmark where I study computer science. Trivia: Favorite berry is blackberry. Never played a single pet battle in WoW and proud of it. Interests: weightlifting, rowing, theorycrafting, math, Game of Thrones, Westworld, Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad, Anime(One Piece, HunterxHunter only ongoing I follow), mythic+ "esports".

NOTE - As far as for the application, I want to mention right away that I wish to apply as a player. I have no strict preference on what to play and I'm open to play any of the characters that I currently have, and possibly others if all of the characters I have don't fit the recruitment. I'll write the application from the perspective of the character I've been raiding with on the most this tier(Blood Death Knight). I filled the information about the characters I have in the last section.

Race and Class
Undead Death Knight

- Do you have a working microphone?

Yeah, I have a headset with a pretty decent microphone.

Stats - Please explain your stats priority and explain why you are using these

I go by Strength > Haste >> Versatility >>> Rest.
First of all I want the item to have haste, then secondly it's nice if it has versatility as the other stat. If it has those two it's going to be a good candidate to use.
Haste and any other stat is also fine, but it's important to look at what the distribution is. That is especially true for rings, since they don't have any mainstat.

Strength is pretty solid as it gives parry chance, damage but most importantly it increases the armor gain from bone shield. Also the stamina that comes paired with strength works great in tandem especially on Death Knight that uses the healthpool well. Haste is strong because it speeds everything up, generating faster runic power, and that fuels more death strikes. Versatility, boring as a stat as it is, is just pretty nice flat gains.

Talents - Please explain your talent choices for different type of fights. And why you choose these talents.

Tier 1: Heartstrike(HS)/Blood Drinker(BD) - Pretty much HS for more than one target, BD for any single target. BD is nice but pretty much only for it's damage. HS becomes really good with more mobs, as Heart Strike hits two usually and within Death and Decay 3 more, so the runic power generation rockets upward. To generalize I go HS for anything non purely single target.
Tier 2: Hemostatis - outperforms the other two vastly.
Tier 3: 99% Ossuary, I only have tried Foul Bulwark for Fetid once, but I believe if you have the health pool to not get one-shot, ossuary will outperform Foul Bulwark.
Tier 4: Will of the Necropolis 30% dmg reduction below 30% is great(was 35%). The other two talents can work if there's a gimmick where you either need AMS every 45 seconds(Anti Magic Barrier Talent) or if you need the damage reduction at specific 4 second intervals(rune tap).
Tier 5: Grip of the dead is what I usually keep it on(Good for Zekvos, Zul), then I change it to Wraith Walk if Death and Decay slow doesn't have any strong effect on the fight or if I need the movespeed(Ghuun if there's enough cc for p1, Mythrax are good candidates)
Tier 6: Bloodworms always. Blizzard has been toying around with leech, and it's a horrible stat.
Tier 7: Bonestorm if there's many mobs and they have to be nuked down or if they deal a significant amount of damage(The heal on it is insane). Purgatory for any non-bonestorm boss and also in a otherwise bonestorm-able boss, if there's a good use for it(Fetid, Zul, Mythrax, Ghuun). Pretty much any really hardhitting boss, where the damage is intense and tank deaths have a chance of occuring, purgatory is an extra life often(usually because if you take enough damage to procc purgatory, your next death strike or two fix the debuff) and that extra life is always useful.

And then I have some players on my friendslist that I've raided with if there's very specific questions.

Your raiding history

First time I entered a raid must have been in ToC or ICC, where I was a nose-picking noob not knowing what to do at all and barely understood english.
Cataclysm it went alright, started raiding a bit and shed my babyshoes. Thinking back, a major inspiration must have been the Race to World First documentary. Ended up killing everything on heroic(10 man) but not quickly at all.
MoP: I was around 17-18 years old, and had a dry spell of gaming so I didn't do much raiding. Late SoO I joined a guild for WoD and cleared SoO.
WoD: First expansion where I wasn't a hormone ridden teenager and had time playing the game. Had a really fun expansion overall clearing everything on cutting edge and managing to get some realm best times in challenge modes as a bonus present. (Finished at world 284 raiding 2 days).
Legion: Had some IRL issues at the start of the expansion which prevented me from playing. Raided with some Faroese friends in Nighthold getting up to Elisande, and dabbled with ToS and Antorus aswell, but mostly just pugging. Never got into raiding hotspot in Legion.
BFA: Started out pretty casually, playing with some faroese friends. At this point I didn't know what to expect. After clearing HC I was sure I wanted to do mythic progression, but unfortunately we couldn't get 20 faroese players for mythic, so we ended up calling it quits. Between then and now(Ca. 1 month) I have played with some Norwegians who contacted me when I stopped in the Faroese guild. Currently at 7/8 Mythic.

Guild history and reason for leaving them

Vanilla - WOTLK: Won't even try to remember the names or list them, but I do clearly remember at one point a gamemaster was in the guild I was in in vanilla.
Cataclysm: <CATACLYSM LEVELING GUILD> for life! Seriously though, it was one called Synergy and one called Rigor Mortis I think it was, but my memory is bad. I don't remember why I left the two guilds. But I think most of the times it was guild stopped playing.
MoP: None until end of SoO where I joined The Brigade on the Maelstrom.
WoD: Was in The Brigade for the entirety of WoD.
Legion: When I started playing in the expansion I just stayed as a social in the guild, while I played with some irl friends during the Nighthold raid. That guild stopped raiding and died around antorus.
BFA: Faroese guild again in start(90% same people from legion), am technically still in the guild on one of my characters and use the discord, but the guild doesn't do any raiding or anything as is. Hells Hemmat is the norwegian guild. My characters are still in the guild and they know I'm searching for an english speaking guild.
The way things happened is that I got contacted if I wanted to come play with this norwegian guild. We talked about the language barrier that could be, and if it would work out. We agreed to give it a try. After a couple of weeks we talked again. It wasn't working out because there was some communications issues inside the raid when there was on the fly calls, and just generally when 19 native speakers talk together it goes much faster, and I wasn't comfortable because I felt like I couldn't communicate what I wanted to say clearly. So that's around 3 weeks ago, and we agreed that they'd search for a tank and I would continue meanwhile.
Fast forward to today and now a tank has been found and they are on break till after new years so I'm writing this application. It's pretty convoluted I know, but feel free to contact anyone in Hells Hemmat about the situation if there's any doubt(Dårligjæger is the GM, Ashuran / Ginandtoxic are the officers I spoke to most).

Expectations - What do you expect from us and what can we expect from you!

What I expect: "A strongly lead mythic team"(From the Wowprogress page), this one really hits home for me, cause team mentality is what I really enjoy about raiding. When it's a team of players, rather than a group.

What you can expect: A player who continuously improves, while not being egoistical(pad free). Generally a decent guy who I hope you'll be happy to have alongside yourselves inside raid instances.

Freetext - Anything else you wish to add? Your last chance to impress us!

As written above, I currently have been doing progression on the Blood DK, however I have been playing DPS most of my WoW life and am perfectly happy to play DPS on any of my characters.
My characters are:
Asdasdfasdf (DK) - https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/tarren-mill/asdasdfasdf
Sámal (Rogue) - https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/tarren-mill/s%C3%A1mal
Mooguki (Warrior) - https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/tarren-mill/mooguki
Sámiel (Priest) - https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/tarren-mill/sámiel

Thanks for reading through all this text, I hope you got a good impression. Also would like to add that incase there's interest in a character, but performance of the specific character is too low, I am happy to work on it and resubmit the application.

Best regards,
Fuguki
