Information about yourself - Let us get to know you!
I'm a 21 year old student from Sweden. My interests are very conventional and probably line up with what you’d expect from someone writing an application to a raiding guild. Outside of school and the usual music/TV/games/etc I enjoy exercising and reading. I’m an introverted person, I’m used to and satisfied with being by my own self and finding ways to be entertained. It’s not that I dislike social events, but I prefer things to be planned out and on my own terms
Stats - Please explain your stats priority and explain why you are using these
I use Simulationcraft strings and Pawn to make sure my stat weights are always up to date, generally I try to update them after every raid (assuming I've received new items that might cause the stat priority to change)
I simmed before making this app and right now these are my stat priorities
Talents - Please explain your talent choices for different type of fights. And why you choose these talents.
Affliction Warlock talent choices are pretty damn set in stone at the moment (3322323), there are only really two rows which you find yourself changing around depending on the encounter
Writhe in Agony (2-4 target passive cleave), Siphon Life (Patchwork/Priority ST; G'huun/Most Bosses), Absolute Corruption (AoE/Mass Dotting, way less useful now after changes to Inevitable Demise)
Row 3 (same for every spec):
Demon Skin (passive absorption to make the healer's lives easier), Burning Rush (mobility and general safety, can get you out of dodgy situations, this is the go-to), Dark Pact (tanking predictable heavy burst damage)
Demonology seems to be similar in this regard but I do not yet know the ins and outs as I've only been playing it for a bit over a week, based on logs and from speaking with other players 2123233 is the go-to for most raiding situations. In the 1st Demonic Strength can be exchanged for Bilescourge Bombers if heavy burst AoE in a small area is required, but as far as I can tell people are picking it to pump up the logs on bosses like Zek'Voz and Mythrax, rather than to do actual effective damage.
If the entirety or most of the boss fight consists of Cleave/AoE and priority damage is less of a requirement you could also exchange 'Summon Vilefiend' for 'Soul Strike' which allows you improved Soul Shard generation for more HoG's/Imps and thus more Implosion damage, and Sacrificed Souls in the final tier for more consistent damage rather than maximizing burst windows. This is basically the setup you're using for M+, and I could also see it being useful in the rare type of encounter that's similar to a dungeon in that there are waves/packs of enemies (such as Eonar)
Destruction excels at 2-3 target cleave burst damage (Vectis, Mythrax) and that's what you want to focus on maximizing for the encounters where it's useful, 1123323)

Your raiding history
Cataclysm - WoD: Casual level of raiding, Normal clears with the occasional first one or two Heroic/Mythic bosses
Legion : World ~#1400 Mythic Xavius, 2/3M ToV
BFA : World #644 Mythic G'huun
Guild history and reason for leaving them
Empowered (tier 19): Loosely managed Guild with long-term roster issues and plenty of drama/in-fighting that really eroded my interest in playing the game over the tier, after officers chose to leave during the first week of Nighthold I decided to call it quits and came back for the next expansion.
When Fat Kids Attack: The raiding environment of my past Guild somewhat wore on me over the tier as I felt it wasn't the most productive, and our level of success isn’t what I’d expect for the time and effort put in. G'huun progress especially just dragged on for way too many weeks, something which was worsened by the fact that raiders that were core to our setup ended up calling it quits. After feeling burned out from progress and tough re-clears I decided to step down and take somewhat of a break from raiding whilst weighing my options and trying to figure out what I was going to do next. I saw this as something of a bridge-burning moment, and it's probably best for them and me that I find another Guild for next tier
Expectations - What do you expect from us and what can we expect from you!
What I'm looking for and the reason why I'm still playing this game is to make the most out of raiding; showing up to every raid-day prepared and motivated to spend the raiding time wisely and therefor achieving good world ranks without having the game turn into a massive unenjoyable timesink.
Having had first hand experience of the kind of behavior and characteristics that can sour raiding environments and de-motivate other players I strive to do the opposite, by aiming to be calm, communicative, positive and constructive both in terms of handing out and handling criticism. I am open minded and without an inflated ego, very open to being told that the way I am doing things is wrong/not optimal and will adjust accordingly. I literally do not care one bit about making myself look good on rankings or damage meters if it doesn't aid our progress on an encounter.
I'm also my own biggest critic, if I die on an encounter or a mechanic is causing issues I try to look back and figure out why it happened and think about how I can do better in the future and prevent that same mistake from happening again

I was told to put in a joke here. So I decided to write Carefish
